It works just fine going between my macintosh laptop and my husband's desktop windows. Transfer rates are pretty quick, too. It's even been accidentally sent through the washing machine and came out just fine. It still had full capacity! It was completely functioning! I tested the data transfer, and it still works. It was as if I had left it sitting on the desk rather than subjecting it to the terrors of the laundry.
